• EXPECT SWELLING for up to at least one week. To reduce swelling use ibuprofen, ice, and freezee-pops
  • Eat softer foods (Mac&Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Soup, Etc.) 
  • Rinse with mouthwash (other than Scope). Rinse the piercing. 
  • Follow the above step after eating and/or smoking.

  • DO NOT drink any BEER or WINE, this may cause an oral yeast infection.
  • Urinate into your hand, rotate jewelry back and forth. Follow behind with Bacitration or A&D ointment at least three times daily
  • When in the shower, wash everything normally, then stand under the water and gently rotate jewelry to rinse out any soap or fluids.
  • No heavy "action" or major stress for at least 6 weeks.
  • Use common sense, if it hurts, don't do it.

Oral Piercing

After Care

  • DO NOT Re-cover your tattoo
  • DO NOT Pick at any scabs whatsoever
  • DO NOT Enter any standing water (Pools, Ocean, Bath, or Hot Tubs)
  • Leave your bandage on for approximately one hour after you have gotten it finished.
  • Wash with a fragrance free, white soap (Dove or Ivory). Wash in circular motion using your FINGERTIPS ONLY. Rinse thoroughly and let dry for 20 minutes.
  • It is okay to shower, but DO NOT let it soak in water for a long period of time.
  • After 4 weeks of healing, use sunblock (SPF 30 or above) to keep your tattoo vibrant.


  • Clean the area 3 times a day using Saline solution ( contact solution/ non-iodized sea salt & water ) and a Q-tip. Clean the top and bottom of the piercing and gently rotate the jewelry.
  • When in the shower, gently rotate your piercing at the end to eliminate any excess soap build up on the piercings.
  • If your piercing is dry, then it is acceptable to use a small amount of A&D ointment only placed via Q-Tip
  • Use a bandaid at night to keep it from being snagged or pulled while sleeping.
